Building airplanes and airlines

While thinking volcanic ash and how much our world is depending on global air transportation, I have picked two interesting video clips related to airplanes and airlines. First one is a manufacturing video from Southwest Airlines and how their "Florida One" Boeing 737-700ER was built.

This is interesting, but from logistics point of view, even more interesting is how Southwest Airlines organize a 25 minute turnaround at airport.

There are many ways to run airline companies: pricing models vary, network may be based on point-to-point or hub and spoke models to name some differences. Running a low cost airline compared to traditional airlines can be very different albeit the planes might be similar. Here's a picture I found comparing these two generic airline strategies. The original post is located here and posted by Metrobest.
