LRN 2006 - “Sustainable Logistics in an Intermodal Setting”

The 2006 Logistics Research Network Annual Conference will take place on 6-8th September 2006, at the University of Newcastle, UK.

The LRN conference maintains its position as one of the main European forums for the presentation and discussion of research results, current practice and new ideas in the fields of supply-chain management, logistics and transport. Delegates will be academics, researchers and practitioners. Eminent keynote speakers will set the scene, discussing "Sustainable Logistics in an Intermodal Setting" reflecting on the increasing need for sustainable logistics operations for, inter alia, firms, industries and government bodies.

With papers submitted from over 19 countries, it highlights the International spectrum the LRN continues to encompass. Topics cover a wide range of Logistics and Supply Chain Management issues. Close to 150 delegates are expected to attend the conference.

Papers selected for the conference will be included in the conference proceedings and the conference CD ROM. The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit a paper to the International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications. A prize will be awarded for the best paper presented at the conference

Conference fees will be £285. This includes 3 lunches, coffee breaks and 2 dinners.

Also, a conference bag with the conference proceedings and a CD will be included as well as an annual subscription to the International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications.
